Tina’s Vacation Story

It was with great anticipation as the van was packed and loaded with stuff and people. Great fun was had as the kids in our vehicle played Auto Bingo and joked about being stuffed in like sardines. Jacob told ALL of us he didn’t like sardines. We arrived to a sign that indicated Jesus was celebrated by the owners of the cottage and so we unpacked and ate dinner and checked out the place. It was decided Jordan, Mariah and Jacob would all sleep in the loft. The next morning at 4:30 – they were awake. Couldn’t wait to see what the day unfolded. A Memorial Day Memory

leejohndrowteamToday was Memorial Day. The remembrance of those killed in action serving our country.

I took my grand kids to the parade in Keene. As the flags went by Jacob (My young grandson) stood there with his hand over his heart. My dad, my grandfather would have been proud. He never had to be asked. We sat there and clapped for those who had served. Our country. Our history. Friends showed up and watched with us. Continue reading A Memorial Day Memory

Lydia Cooper – My First House

Lydia CooperIt’s still mine. Even if it should be torn completely apart it will forever be mine. Every room filled with memories, every board filled with pieces of my heart. A house is only a building until you make a memory in it, until laughter fills the hallways, until decorations line the mantle above the fireplace. Until a little piece of you is given it would seem to just be walls, ceiling and doors. This place has all of the hurts with tears, the trust and confidence and the love of my family etched within the walls and doors. My first and only home located in a small town of New Hampshire.
